Hats Off Day!

Please remember to donate hats to Hats Off Day: farm hats, stallion hats, equine industry / business hats —- any hat is appreciated (including outdated, stallion no longer standing, even “factory damaged” hats).

When a member of the general public receives a hat, he/she immediately feels a closer tie to our industry. Our goal is to generate goodwill towards the horse industry.

Hats may be dropped off at:

Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital
2150 Georgetown Road
Lexington, KY 40511

If you would like for someone to pick up the hats, please call Mary Yozwiak at 859-233-0371.

Deadline for submission is Tuesday, July 25, 2017.

HATS OFF DAY is Saturday, July 29th at 4:00 PM at the Kentucky Horse Park Rolex Stadium. This year, HATS OFF DAY will be celebrating Horses and Hollywood, honoring the horses that have starred in the movies and television!

You are invited to attend! Free admission to the Kentucky Horse Park and all that it offers for you and your family. Hats Off activities begin at 4:00 PM, including free horse and pony rides, and free picture on a pony!  Stadium entertainment starts at 7:00 PM, including exciting exhibitions, and a spectacular Grand Prix show jumping competition.

If you would like to join Rood & Riddle in the sponsor tent for a gourmet dinner and reserved, ringside seating, please contact Whitney Fields at or (859) 280-3316 for ticket pricing and information.
