We are very saddened by the loss of Dr. Robert (Bob) Agne who died after an accident in Saratoga, NY. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they mourn his loss. We will post details about his visitation and funeral as we receive the information.

Robert Agne, DVM
Dr. Robert Agne grew up in St.Louis, MO and began riding hunter ponies at an early age. He continued riding through high school and began competing in dressage and combined training events. Upon graduating from high school he moved to Virginia to work in the hunter-jumper business. He also worked for a number of sport horse trainers on the East Coast and in 1991 started his own training business in Greensboro, North Carolina. As a trainer, he became interested in shoeing and foot problems as well as the veterinary/farrier relationship. In 1996, he began attending the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In 1999 he was accepted into the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and completed the farrier program at Cornell University in Ithaca NY. After receiving his veterinary degree in 2003 he started a podiatry internship at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital. Following completion of the internship in 2004 he stayed on as a veterinary podiatrist.
